Just to fill you in:
My roommates are really cool. There is Sarah from Boston. I think I have gotten to know her the best so far and I think she's legit. There is Sarah from Seattle, who seems cool but also very independent and likes to do her own thing. Then my last two are Rianna and ( I cant spell it?) Kel-something. (Sorry!) (Oh and Rianna is said "Rye-anna" not "Ree-anna" which also is going to take some time as I am so bad with names.) They came together from the Wisconsin/ Illinois area. I think they are going to be really chill to but I havent gotten to know them enough yet. Besides roommates I have met a few really cool girls that are roommates from a different flat. They are so good, and we went drinking with them Yesterday.
Okay- So Yesterday, As I said I woke everyone up (as I had the only alarm) at 4. Needless to say we all went back to bed until 8. I showered and got ready and we meet up with all of the other study abroad students at our lobby thing. We all walked with help from RA's to the bus stop and learned how to take the 88 bus to school. It was my first double decker bus trip! When we got there they had coffee, yes coffee not tea, and donuts for us. We had big presentations about who everyone was, met our RA's and some of the clubs on campus. Then we split up and had tours of all of the AIU buildings. I saw where my class was going to be. Then we had a free lunch and got to sign up for the events. I'm only doing the boat tour threw the thames river on Sunday. After that me and 4 other girls dipped out and went to Oxford Street! We shopped so much. I didnt know London was so cold so I got a few jackets and a sweatshirt. We saw piccadilly circus (photo) and all of the famous stores on Oxford Street. The problem was i'm so cheap. EVERYTHING costs so much more in London. So I only got 3 things. After that we all tried to take the tube for the first time. We only got lost once and it was very minor. When we got back to Camden, we went to Argos which is kinda like Target but very weird. When you go in they hand you a catalog. You flip threw it until you find the thing you want. You then type the bar code into a calculator looking thing. It will tell you if they have any. If they do, you then right it on a little order form with a golf pencil. Once you have everything you want down, you go up and pay for it. Then you go to the next station and they take your paper and go get what you want from the warehouse and you get your stuff and walk out. I LOVE SHOPPING THIS WAY. You get to see all of your options next to each other and you take 1/2 the time because your not trekking up and down a store. There I got a duvet, two pillows and a duvet cover, and a rubbish bin, not a trash can, a rubbish bin. After that we went to the 99 pence store aka dollar store and got some other needed items like cups. We all walked back to our housing. Sarah and I made some awsome pasa stuffed with cheese and spinach and tomato sauce. It was so good. After that I talked to my mom and Chris for a while. Which was really good because I have not been able to talk to Chris at all yet. Then Sarah and I met up with the girls from Flat 37 that we went shopping with and we went to 'The worlds End'. It was a nice pub. Then we went home at 1.
I just woke up now- and remembered I didnt blog yesterday, so here it is!
Love you all, and Miss you!
